Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Artifact Desk, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Free License
The core version of Artifact Desk is free for personal and business use. You may use it indefinitely on any number of devices, subject to the restrictions below.
Pro License
Artifact Desk Pro 1.x is available as a one-time purchase: Personal is $49 for one activated computer, and Personal Plus is $79 for up to three activated computers. Both plans include the same Pro features and all 1.x updates. We do not promise free updates for future major versions such as 2.0.
Refund Policy
Cedarwood Labs administers purchases and refunds using Stripe. The refund terms shown at checkout apply, subject to applicable consumer law. Contact us with your order reference if you need purchase support.
Permitted Use and Restrictions
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law. You may not distribute, resell, or sublicense a Pro license key. These restrictions apply within the bounds of your statutory rights.
User Files Ownership
You retain complete ownership and responsibility for files, artifacts, and content processed locally within Artifact Desk. We claim no intellectual property rights over your data.
Open Source Licenses
Artifact Desk incorporates open-source materials, including MarkText. These components remain under their respective open-source licenses, which are separate from these Terms. See the MarkText project and its license.
Updates and Availability
We work to maintain and improve Artifact Desk but do not guarantee that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or permanently available without updates.
Support
Support is provided on a commercially reasonable, best-effort basis. A Pro license does not promise a particular response time or service level.
Disclaimers
The application is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, arising from use of the application.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to Pro features if you materially breach these Terms.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms. We will update the effective date above. Continued use after a change signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.
General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding Artifact Desk. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
